Repair Program

The Troy Community Land Bank Repair Program helps eligible homeowners address critical repairs that keep their homes safe, stable, and livable.

Funding focuses on projects that correct safety issues, resolve code violations, and repair major building systems.

What the Program Covers

We prioritize repairs that protect the structure and long term condition of the home:

  • Roof repairs and replacements
  • Structural and foundation repairs
  • Heating systems and major utilities
  • Code violations and life safety issues
  • Exterior repairs tied to safety and accessibility

This program does not fund cosmetic improvements.

Who May Be Eligible

You may qualify if you:

  • Own a 1 to 4 unit residential property
  • Live in the home as your primary residence
  • Are located within the City of Troy
  • Have a household income at or below 120 percent of Area Median Income

All applications are reviewed and funding is awarded based on eligibility, need, and project impact. Application deadlines are – 

  • June 5th for the first round

  • July 3rd for the second round

  • August 7th for the third round
  • More rounds will open if funding is not exhausted.

How the Program Works

The Land Bank works with selected applicants to move projects forward:

  • We review your eligibility and property needs
  • We help define the scope of work
  • We solicit and select qualified contractors
  • We oversee construction and ensure quality
  • We pay contractors directly
