These upgrades are part of the Land Bank’s broader initiative to transform vacant buildings into valuable community assets, with the removal of the red “X” from 17 Park Avenue symbolizing its path to restoration. The Troy Community Land Bank’s new leadership and revitalized board are to be commended, and new partnerships with the Land Bank will continue to expand and grow to revitalize our neighborhoods.

After years of hard work, including the demolition of a building at 7 Park Avenue in 2023, we’ve worked to assemble these properties to make way for something special.
Habitat for Humanity is now set to build affordable, owner-occupied housing in the form of new construction modular homes on these sites. This project is a major step forward in creating more accessible housing for our community.
